About the Snowmass Club
Enhancing Every Day
It comes with the territory. With every sunrise in this valley, we’re renewed with possibility, purpose, and an opportunity to climb higher towards the pinnacle of Member experience perfection. The map we follow is a dedication to the highest quality of service delivered with a sense of warmth, friendliness, individual pride and professionalism.
Club History
The Snowmass Club story began with an idea — a mountain escape with European charm and Colorado soul. Built in 1980 by visionaries Jim Light and Jim Chaffin, its design was drawn from a beloved hotel in Austria, and its first fairways were shaped by golf legend Arnold Palmer.

Nearly five decades later, the landscape has changed — including a links-style golf course redesign by Jim Engh — but the Club’s purpose has only deepened.
The Snowmass Club has always been more than a collection of amenities. It’s a living part of the Roaring Fork Valley, growing and adapting with each new generation of members.
As ownership has changed over the years, the Club has been renovated, reimagined, and reenergized, while continuing to be a four-season haven for families, adventurers, and anyone who finds joy in the rhythm of mountain life.
And at its heart? Community. Through our support of local organizations and local causes, the Snowmass Club doesn’t just exist in this valley — it gives back to it. Because when you belong here, you’re part of something bigger than the view.

Ownership Team
The owners of the Snowmass Club didn’t just discover this place — they live it, season after season. Some grew up here. Others made it their second home. All came together with a shared purpose: to protect the magic of Snowmass and shape its future as stewards of a community they deeply love.
Their commitment shows up in every corner of the Club — in the care taken to enhance amenities, in the capital invested to ensure long-term vitality, and in the caliber of the people they’ve brought on board. With vision and heart, they’re building more than a Club. They’re nurturing a community — one unforgettable day at a time.
With a focus on recruiting top-notch private club professionals and a strategic investment approach prioritizing enhancements to amenities, exciting changes are underway at the Snowmass Club.

Leadership Team
The Snowmass Club service culture is created and sustained by the positive atmosphere and affirming attitude of our team leaders. We take pride in assisting our members and guests on the course, on the courts, in the Clubhouse -- anywhere we're needed.
It’s this approach to the duties, actions, and interactions that come with each role at the Snowmass Club that elevates us above other organizations.
